I spent the night at Shetland, and as I stated yesterday already, there’s a couple of people there ready to fly to Vagar airport on the Faroe Islands. Weather at Sumburgh is partly cloudy, the weather at Vagar looks clear. This should be a comfortable flight for the 4 corporate charter, and 1 ScandiFLY passengers.
It appears Learjets are popular at this airport
Taxiing out to the runway
Saying goodbye to Sumburgh
Very calm weather over the Atlantic
Approaching the Faroe Islands
I spotted loads of ships from above
Making out the runway in the distance
And down on the runway
There was a surprising amount of aircraft on the platform
I will go from here to Iceland in the days to come. I think there’s some corporate pax that want to fly to Hornafjordur from here.
I found freeware scenery for Vagar airport online, but somehow it didn’t play nice with my setup as the runway turned out to be buried by rocks on approach. So in the end I landed on the default FSX airport.
